Just finished my week of hill work leading up to the Imogene Pass Run. In an attempt to continue working on my ongoing IT Band problems with my knees I have been focusing on steep terrain that requires more of a power hike than a run.
Today was a hot one, well into the 80's with no cloud cover. The two ascents earlier in the week were much cooler and much easier, I understand now the power of heat to ruin you. These runs were also the first views of the Shultz fire that I have seen, you can see in the first two pictures on the right some of the damage.
